Super 8 videos have that nostalgic and authentic feel so many of us are craving. No elaborate lighting set ups, no tripods or gimbals. Just a handheld camera. Super 8 cameras were originally created for home videos, so they make an awesome medium for couples looking for something unique and real.

What is Super 8?
Super 8 is a type of motion picture film that became popular for amateurs and families in the 1970s and 1980s. The 8 in super 8 comes from the size of the film and the super refers to the larger frame size as opposed to regular 8mm film. The cameras we have, use super 8mm film that we have to get developed and scanned at a lab, before we do any editing.
How and when will we get our video?
The process takes a little bit longer than with traditional digital wedding videos. That’s because the developing and scanning process can take up to 2-3 weeks. There aren’t that many labs who still process super 8, so we have to mail it out, every time. We’ll deliver your video within 6-8 weeks on average in a digital format that you can view on laptops and phones.
How do we book?
Here’s how the process generally looks.
1) Reach out via the contact form below, and set up a Zoom call with us.
2) Share with us all of the details about your day and what is most important.
3) We’ll send you an agreement which is necessary to book, along with a retainer payment.
4) After that, we’re on!
5) We’ll then schedule another chat a few weeks before to discuss your timeline and more.
What is your approach?
We approach all weddings from a documentary and candid standpoint. We’ll of course set up a shot or two on the day of but that’s about it. We’ll be hovering around, documenting moments as they happen.
